CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS

It is against my moral and religious beliefs for men to have health care and/or health insurance.  If men get sick or if they are injured they simply need to tough it out and "take it like a man."  Therefore, as of March 1, 2012, all health insurance and all health care for men will end.  I have this right because the First Amendment to the Constitution gives me freedom of religion.

Do you agree with my interpretation?  This seems to be the way that Congress interprets the First Amendment.  They seem to think that freedom of religion means that the Catholic Church has the freedom to force its moral and religious views on the women of America.  They also want to extend that freedom  to the employers of women in America.  If a woman's employer is opposed to her having contraception or some other type of health care, then that employer can see to it that the woman cannot have insurance coverage.

That is not freedom of religion.  Freedom of religion means that each of us, woman or man, has the right of freedom to choose for herself or himself what beliefs they will follow.  They are not to be at the mercy of a state religion.  This is the opposite of the interpretation that the House of Representatives seems to be giving the freedom of religion clause.  Perhaps they need a course on constitutional law.

As for saying that the insurance companies would be forcing certain medications or treatments on people, the House is correct.  Insurance companies do this all the time.  They tell physicians how long they can keep their patients in the hospital, which medications they can prescribe, and what treatments are available.  How do they enforce their rules?  They do not pay the bill unless they have their way.  Ask any physician, they can tell you this is true.  And the Republicans tell us that we should not want Medicare which pays the bills and is much more accommodating to the physicians than the insurance companies.  The House of Representatives, which is basically the Republican Party manages to twist all truth and all reality to their own advantage.

I have never seen such bizarre behavior and it is hard to believe that this is twenty first century America.
