Aligators and Orchids

The aligator photo is not actually my home or my neighbor. I wouldn't want anyone to misunderstand my satire. It is a photo that was sent to me on the internet. Obviously someone in Florida has a friendly neighbor.

I took the photo of my backyard and the Florida orchids. I am told that the orchids grew wild at one time on Orchid Island, not far from our home. For most of us the orchids are difficult to grow. They are an air plant and need to be gently sprayed with a little bit of water once a day. Mine stopped blooming; so I put the pot under the bushes around my porch. After a number of months it did bloom again. But it is not blooming now. Maybe it will bloom again next spring.
