THE ELECTION IS OVER!

Thank God the election is over.  Thank God President Obama won re-election.  He fought off the billionaires and millionaires to try to save democracy.  The Republicans are saying that they were outspent by the Democrats!  How on earth could that be?  Many of the extremist candidates supported by the Republicans/billionaires were defeated.  I hope that this is a real turning point in America away from the right-wing extremists.  I hope that the American people have awakened to the dangers of this extremism and decided to move permanently from these views. Of course, the war has not yet been won.

 The Ohio legislature is proceeding as if Romney had won the election.  They are trying to pass a law to forbid abortion after the sixth week of pregnancy.  Since women do not even know whether they are pregnant at this point, it is basically a law to prevent all abortions.  I can't believe that could ever become the law.  But of course, the Republicans are back to business as usual no matter what.  If only they could concern themselves with the problems that are being faced by this country.  There are innumerable serious problems: global warming, education funding, health care, the deficit, the need to repair the infrastructure, etc.  However, they are playing games with all of us instead of trying to solve problems.  Unfortunately this is typical Republican behavior.  They deny reality and play games.  The American people are weary of their fun and games.
