HEALTH CARE REFORM

An open letter to President Obama:

Dear Mr. President:

Abraham Lincoln called America a nation of the people, by the people, and for the people. Unfortunately, under the rule of the Republican Party, America has become a nation of the Corporations, by the Corporations, and for the Corporations. If America is to have health care reform, we have to FIGHT the corporations: Insurance Corporations, Drug Corporations, and the A.M.A. They meet with you and say they will cooperate with you, but they are stabbing you in the back, fighting against reform. Reform means that they stand to lose billions of dollars. Reform means that the American people might actually have health care rather than paying for it and having their claims denied.

Will you find common ground with the American people who want health care reform and a public option? Or will you find common ground with the Corporations? It cannot be both ways.

We hope you will fight for us, the people. If you cannot establish a public option, then no one ever can or will. Americans need health care that is not tied to their jobs and then is lost when their jobs are lost.
